About Me
Medina Kandil has been dedicated to Youth and Islamic work for the past 6 years, driven by a passion for bringing the youth closer to Islam. Her journey began with Young Muslims (YM), where she served as the Coordinator for the Morris County chapter for two terms. She has previously served as the Tarbiyyah Lead on the North Jersey level and currently serves as the Quality Control Lead. She enjoys delivering interactive, discussion-based halaqas on a range of topics and hearing the perspectives of the youth.
Pursuing her academic interests, Medina is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Biology at Rutgers University. She is currently a Research Assistant in the Regulation, Action, and Motivated Perception Lab, furthering her understanding of human behavior and motivation. She has also served as the Vice President of the annual Muslim Student Association Tazkiyah Conference “Road to Revival,” where she worked to inspire and educate the Muslim community by implementing applied learning practices for over 500 attendees.
Passionate about a career in Islamic Psychology, Medina aims to integrate her knowledge of Psychology with Islamic principles to provide holistic support to the community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, writing, listening to podcasts, and playing volleyball.
With a blend of academic excellence, organizational leadership, and a heartfelt commitment to youth development, Medina is excited to bring her unique perspective and experience to the Muslim Mindset Academy, fostering an environment of learning, growth, and spiritual enrichment.
