Raised in Passaic, NJ, with Puerto Rican roots, Imam Wesley Lebrón’s transformative journey into Islam began in 1998. Gaining his B.A. in Islamic Studies from MISHKAH University, He emerged as a vibrant leader spearheading outreach in Illinois as the President of the Latino Muslims of Chicago. As a national voice for IslamInSpanish, he was a main figure in establishing Houston’s IslamInSpanish Centro Islamico. As a co-founder and President of the 3 Puerto Rican Imams, he championed hurricane relief in Puerto Rico, which gained national recognition. Through these efforts he also helped champion relief efforts in Gaza, Nigeria, Pakistan, South & Central America, as well as across the United States. He is currently President for Miftaahul Uloom Academy and the Resident Scholar for Reverts Reconnect which is ran under the Muslim American Society of New York.
