Imam Khalil Khalida Adem, born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to Eritrean Parents, migrated to the US in the 90’s. After receiving his Bachelors in Nursing, he studied Qur’an & the Islamic Sciences in Cairo, Egypt. As a student of knowledge, he has sat with many scholars such as Dr. Hatem Al-Haj , Shaykh AbdulBary Yahya, Shaykh Alaa Elsaadawi and others whom he has benefitted from immensely. Imam Khalil previously served as the principal of the Islamic weekend school and youth coordinator at Al-Tawheed Islamic center from 2015-2017 and later was nominated as vice chairman of the Board. Imam Khalil was also one of the founders of BBNJ, a local charity organization dedicated to feed the hungry. He currently serves as the Imam of the Islamic Society of North Jersey and also as an Administrative supervisor at Hackensack University Medical Center.
