About Me

Mohamed graduated from Rutgers University with a double major in Marketing & Accounting and went to complete his MBA from New Jersey Institute of Technology specializing in Marketing. He worked in major tech companies such as HP and Samsung and currently works for Google as a Global Marketing Research manager. His role at Google informs the branding and marketing strategy for the Android platform and its ecosystem to ensure it resonates well with target audiences.

Mohamed gained Islamic education through institutions such as AlMaghrib Institute and is currently a third year student at Mishkah University pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Islamic Studies. He studied under many scholars such as Dr. Salah Elsawwy, Dr. Hatem Al-Haj, and Sh Waleed Basyouni. He works as a Northeast Outreach Coordinator for Syrian Forum USA and leads the national YM Travel team.

I have been attending classes by Mohamed Shallan for as long as I can remember. During my time in undergrad, Mohamed's Sunday night lecture was something that was consistent and kept me grounded during a period of change in my life, for which I am very grateful. I go out of my way to follow him around whenever he is giving a Friday sermon because I genuinely enjoy being around him and listening to him lecture and tell stories. And being one of the few people who has been to Umrah with him twice, I can confidently say he is just as effective at teaching and lecturing in various capacities. I can't recommend his classes enough, they are truly something you have to experience for yourself.
